About Us

OUR COMPANY....

Around the World Travel has been serving the Northwest Arkansas area since 1981. In September of 1988 the name was changed from International Tours to Around the World Travel and moved to our present location at 201 West Emma, Suite 'C' in downtown Springdale to better serve our clients.

OUR OWNERS....

Around the World Travel was purchased in July of 1990 by Phil and Frances Mayo. Phil was born in Springdale and graduated from the University of Arkansas with a B.S.B.A. in Administrative Management. The Mayo Family has been in Northwest Arkansas since 1870. Frances is from Vicksburg, Mississippi and moved to Arkansas after high school to attend the University of Arkansas and never left. She has a B.S.B.A. in Public Administration.

Both Phil and Frances are Accredited Cruise Counselors as certified by C.L.I.A. and as Disney Specialists by the College of Disney Knowledge. Phil is the Manager of the Agency, and is responsible for all outside sales and marketing. Frances is the Controller and a Sales Agent for the Agency.

OUR STAFF....

The Staff of Around the World Travel is one of the most experienced staffs in Arkansas and are very capable of handling the needs of both corporate and leisure clients for domestic and international travel.

OUR FUTURE....

In anticipation of needed expansion due to the rapid growth of Around the World Travel since 1990, the office building at 201 West Emma which is the home of Around the World Travel was purchased in August, 1993 by Phil and Frances Mayo to allow for future expansion. In December of 1994, the offices of Around the World Travel were remodeled and expanded in Phase I of our expansion. Phase II which involved more expansion was completed in September of 1997. Phase III which involved upgrading computers, work stations and offices was completed in January of 1998. We now have E-Mail capabilities through the Internet and a Home Page for the convenience of our local and nationwide client base.
